ClubSpin Privacy Policy
ClubSpin ("the app") is a football team randomiser developed and published by Ömer Faruk Somay. This policy explains what data the app handles, what our advertising provider collects, and what choices you have.
In short: we do not ask you to create an account, we do not collect your personal information, and nothing you do in the app is sent to us. The app does show ads, and our advertising provider (Google AdMob) does collect data. That part is described in detail below.
1. Information we collect
We collect nothing. ClubSpin has no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics and no crash reporting. We operate no servers and receive no data about you or your use of the app.
2. Information stored on your device
The app saves a small number of preferences locally so it can remember how you like it configured:
| Setting | Example value |
|---|---|
| Interface language | English / Turkish |
| Wheel animation speed | Slow / Normal / Fast |
| Vibration feedback | On / Off |
These values stay on your device, are never transmitted anywhere, and are deleted when you uninstall the app. Team and league data ships inside the app itself and is not downloaded or personalised.
3. Advertising
ClubSpin is free and supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial ads. To serve and measure those ads, Google may collect and process:
- Device advertising identifiers (Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS)
- IP address and approximate, IP-derived location (typically country/region level)
- Device and OS information — model, operating system version, language, screen size
- Ad interaction data — which ads were shown, viewed or tapped
- Diagnostic and fraud-prevention signals
This collection is performed by Google, not by us. We never receive your advertising identifier, your IP address, or any other identifier from Google. We only see aggregate, anonymous performance totals such as impression and revenue counts, which cannot be linked to any individual.
Google's handling of this data is governed by its own terms:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from partner apps and sites
- Google Advertising policies
4. Permissions
The app itself requests no device permissions — no camera, microphone, contacts, photos, files, or precise location. The permissions listed on the app store page are added automatically by the Google Mobile Ads SDK and exist solely so that ads can be loaded and measured:
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE |
Download ads and check connectivity |
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID |
Read the advertising identifier |
ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS |
Android Privacy Sandbox ad measurement |
FOREGROUND_SERVICE, WAKE_LOCK |
Required internally by the ads SDK |
5. Your choices
Limit ad personalisation. You can reset or delete your advertising identifier at any time:
- Android: Settings → Google → All services → Ads → Delete advertising ID or Reset advertising ID
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising
Turning off personalised ads does not remove ads; it makes them less relevant.
Delete local data. Uninstalling ClubSpin removes every preference the app has stored. There is nothing else to delete, because we hold nothing.
6. Children
ClubSpin is not directed at children and is not intended for use by children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because we collect no personal data at all, we hold no children's data to review or remove. If you believe a child has been shown inappropriate advertising, please contact us at the address below.
7. Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland
Where required, consent for personalised advertising is requested through Google's consent mechanisms before personalised ads are served. If you do not consent, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalised (contextual) ads.
The legal basis for processing described in section 3 is your consent where consent is required, and otherwise the legitimate interest in funding a free app through advertising.
You have the right to access, correct, delete and port your data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because we hold no personal data ourselves, requests about advertising data should be directed to Google using the links in section 3.
8. Users in California
We do not sell or share personal information, because we do not collect any. Google's own disclosures regarding the CCPA/CPRA apply to the advertising data described in section 3.
9. Data retention
We retain nothing, because we receive nothing. Preferences stored on your device persist until you delete them or uninstall the app. Data collected by Google is retained according to Google's own retention schedule.
10. Security
The app stores no sensitive or personal information. Local preferences are held in the operating system's standard app storage, which is protected by the sandboxing built into Android and iOS.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the app changes — for example, if a new feature or a new third-party service is added. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version. Material changes will be announced on the app's store listing.
